Description:

If you are a solo librarian, library technician, or information professional, this is the session for you! Solo librarianship can mean working completely alone, or working as the only person with a MLIS degree or Library Technician diploma in your organization. This panel, led by experienced solo librarians will be an open discussion of the issues solo librarians face, and how they dealt with them (what worked, and more importantly, what did not work). This session is meant to help build a sense of community for those who may feel alone in their organization.

Outcomes:
1) understanding the issues and challenges solo librarians face
2) a review of what works and what doesn’t work for solo librarians in different environments
3) an opportunity to network with other solo librarians!
