Description:

The demand for newcomer services is high in Mississauga, as more than half of its population was born outside of Canada. Join the Mississauga Library System’s Newcomer Steering Team as they talk about the Mississauga immigrant experience and highlight how library programs and services can help orient our newest neighbours and welcome them to their new home.
Learn how the Mississauga Library System has expanded its newcomer services from a few key partnerships to a unified program that provides services across the entire City, with no additional funding or external partners.

Learning Outcomes
Maximizing your library space and fully utilizing staff to provide exemplary service.
Branding and promoting your newcomer services.
