Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
I have been a knitter for more than 30 years, and have been coding with my students for more than 5. I am fascinated by the connections between the two. I enjoy helping people see the math in the craft of knitting and realize that knitting is computational thinking that fits well in the makerspace.

What does “fearless” mean to you?
I’m a little afraid of this word, and prefer to use daring or brave. I need to acknowledge my fears and use them as part of my road map when I’m “daring greatly” as Brené Brown puts it. I think fearless is the kind of learner we all strive to be, but for me, acknowledging my fears and those of my co-learners helps me understand where I need to go next.
