LIBRARY TOURS

Interested in seeing what’s happening inside the most recently built or renovated libraries in the GTA? Then come join any of our morning tours. This year we have a public library tour, a school library tour, an opportunity to peak behind the scenes at the TIFF Film Reference Library, and a unique opportunity to tour the Aga Khan Museum.

Want something fun to do? Come out to game night where you can explore board games and digital games new and old and chat with librarians who incorporate gaming into their teaching. Participation is not mandatory and instead you can just mingle and enjoy the banter between players. We look forward to a fun night!

Join your colleagues in recognizing excellence in Ontario’s Public Libraries. The evening will begin with a mix and mingle, including drinks and appetizers, followed by an award presentation gala honouring our colleagues and innovative library initiatives.

Don’t have a yoga mat? No problem, you don’t need one. Not very flexible? That’s okay, there are no actual yoga poses involved! Do you like to laugh? Then this fun and energizing session was made for you!
Laughter yoga is a unique concept of laughing just for the sake of laughing, without using humour, jokes or comedy. Heather Ratz, Assistant Librarian at The Brighton Public Library will lead the group through a session that involves deep breathing, childlike playfulness and plenty of unconditional laughter. Connect with your peers, reap the health benefits and start your day laughing!

Want to do something social but need to recharge and rest from talking? We feel you, introverts. Come join us just a block away at the gorgeous TIFF Bell Lightbox building for a feature film.
