Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
I’m interested in this topic because I’m passionate about offering creative, dynamic and inclusive programs that meet the needs of youth in my community whether it’s through original programming or developing community partnerships. With youth regularly aging in and out of my programs it’s important to stay on top of youth culture, regularly connect with youth on their level, and adapt programs and partnerships to meet their needs.

What does “fearless” mean to you?
To me being fearless is regularly going outside my comfort zone when developing or facilitating programs. Something truly magical happens when you confront your fears and successfully execute a program that pushes your boundaries.

What have you read/seen/listened to lately that you would recommend to your audience (something that would help them to learn more about your topic)?
I listen to youth! What are their interests? What Fandoms are popular? What books are they freaking out over? I watch to see what youth are using the library for! While I definitely read youth services blogs to see what other libraries are doing I always keep in mind the interests of youth in my community.
