Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
I am particularly interested in the role of information professionals in the knowledge translation and exchange process because of the ambiguity of the KTE methods and tools, as well as the role confusion within the “knowledge broker” concept. Library professionals working in public health in Ontario started a dialog on the role of the library and information professionals in knowledge translation process as early as 2005. There has been a shift in the perception of that role in the past decade, but information professionals still need to advocate for being embedded in K2A initiatives in their organizations.

What does “fearless” mean to you?
Information professionals need to embed themselves in the knowledge generation continuum in their organizations as a partner – that requires a fearless campaign to have their expertise and skills acknowledged. Fearless meaning: stepping out of the comfort zone, thinking outside the box and departing from stereotypes.

What have you read/seen/listened to lately that you would recommend to your audience (something that would help them to learn more about your topic)?
