All communities have challenges. Library professionals are uniquely positioned to help overcome them. This hands-on session has been well-received at six ALA and PLA conferences. Led by Harwood Institute trainers, you will use the Turn Outward Quiz to focus your efforts and achieve better balance between your internal-external orientation.

1. Understand how libraries that are turned outward to their community increase their relevance
2. Experience the Turn Outward Quiz and be able to identify applications within their library.
