This hands-on workshop will walk through the steps and processes of conducting focus groups using sketch maps for assessment on learning spaces. Participants will observe and engage in sketch mapping exercises as well as discuss ways to incorporate this method in their own context.
Outcomes:
Participants will learn how to organize focus groups for re-imagining library spaces by:
– Creating a sketch map to gain insight on the student perspective.
– Brainstorming ideas on how to apply the method in their own environment.
– Discuss potential issues or gaps with the method.
