Description:

In early 2017, Ottawa Public Library became the first Canadian public library to launch a second eBook platform offering only popular titles, no holds and a limited loan period. This session will discuss the project’s goals, implementation, customer service implications and lessons learned from managing two curated eBook collections.

Outcomes:
– Measure the benefits and drawbacks in offering a second eBook collection with atypical loan parameters
– Determine whether second platform increased eBook availability and usage
– Evaluate budget and return on investment
