Description:

All libraries need leaders who take risks, build trust, and lead innovation. But no amount of skill training alone will result in leadership emergence. It takes confidence to take risks and lead! The right programs can build confidence. This session provides research-based guidance on developing leadership confidence, risk-taking, and trust.

Outcomes:
Understand how to build leadership confidence and skill, particularly emerging leaders relating to risk taking and trust. Gain new knowledge and a greater understanding of risk and trust from a group work perspective. Outline a program model for effective leadership development. Strategize problems within leadership training programs.
