A conversation that started off on a cocktail napkin has resulted in radical collaboration between OurDigitalWorld and the BC Digital Library on an open digital library platform developed in New Zealand. We demonstrate what is happening in practice, delivering diverse digital collections to BC and Ontario citizens globally.
Outcomes:
To show the benefit of collaboration on larger scale project that spans across sectors and provinces, and to outline processes for non-traditional collaboration. Outlining the challenges and successes of projects that collaborates on a technical level across the nation, showing the possible alignment with similar national digitization initiatives.
