Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
While I have always had an interest in history, working in the Reference Department has shown me the importance of preserving and sharing with our community, the stories that make up our past so that we will all remember what our ancestors accomplished for those who would follow them.

One of the many books that we refer to frequently is Sault Ste. Marie: City By the Rapids by Frances Heath; however any local history book about your own community would be a valuable book to read!
