Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
After 10 years of collections budget increases, 2015/16 looked like budget apocalypse. MacEwan University Library had to nimbly assess subscription commitments and make cancellation decisions, while still including the campus community in the process. The sober overhaul of subscription expenditures demonstrated to us that making communication a priority could make all the difference, and reconsidering long-held subscriptions did not have to be a negative experience after all.

Fearless means standing up in Faculty of Arts & Science Council to explain why the library has to cut subscriptions, and believing that they will be supportive once they hear the rationale.
