Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
10 years ago, the Big Deal was the answer to the journal pricing crisis. Now the Big Deal has become the problem. I want to see what libraries can do to move the scholarly communication ecosystem towards a fairer and more sustainable model.

What does “fearless” mean to you?
To me, it’s not so much a matter of being fearless but acting in the face of fear.

What have you read/seen/listened to lately that you would recommend to your audience (something that would help them to learn more about your topic)?
I have found the slides to this presentation (Watching your Cards in the Big Deal) by California Economist Ted Bergstrom to be thought provoking.
