Graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design with the medal for illustration, Rebecca Bender made a big splash with her first picture book, Giraffe and Bird, by winning the 2012 OLA Blue Spruce Award™. Rebecca is an art director, designer, and an author/illustrator. She lives in Burlington.
