Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
I am passionate about all aspects of the teacher librarian position, and integrating diverse voices and perspectives – specifically Canadian-Sikhs in resources in the library. Additionally, as a Canadian-Sikh being able to see resources that reflect my identity in education, when as a student I rarely saw, is exciting and meaningful for students now in the education system.
What does “fearless” mean to you?
Willing to take a risk and make mistakes and learning in the process.
What have you read/seen/listened to lately that you would recommend to your audience (something that would help them to learn more about your topic)?
I would say checking out the Sikh Heritage Museum of Canada website or even going to the museum!
