Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
Working in a library is a second career for me, and being a part of academia was never part of the grand plan. My background is in GIS, and while being a data nerd is a bunch of fun, I missed customer service and working with people. A friend suggested getting my MLIS, and so I went for it with the thought of staying in my lane of maps and data. Now I support the Science and Energy Systems programs at Durham College and UOIT which is a challenge at times, but very satisfying. We all take different paths to get to library work, with everyone bringing something different to the table.

What does “fearless” mean to you?
Being willing to stick your neck out and try things outside of your comfort zone. Failure isn’t an end, it’s something to learn from.
