From the moment he became an educator, Lee has dared to create an environment that had every kid breaking down the door to learn and explore. Maker education fosters curiosity, tinkering, and requires risk taking. He believes firmly that a maker environment builds an enthusiasm for learning, student confidence, and natural collaboration. But it requires risk taking on behalf of both students and educators. Risks may make you triumph, or they will make you learn. Either of the benefits is worth daring for.
What does “fearless” mean to you?
Lee is a risk taker that harnesses his fear each day to guide him in creating a high octane learning environment for the students that he inspires. Fear forces him to prepare, to practice, to fall but get back up. Fear isn’t his middle name, but it is the mechanism that empowers him. This educational daredevil knows that where there is little risk, there is little reward and your students deserve your courage.
