For more than 20 years, DeEtta Jones has guided people and organizations through the process of fundamental transformation. She has been a leading voice in shaping contemporary thinking and practice around integrated and sustainable approaches to workplace culture, and equity, diversity and inclusion strategy. Her years of experience as a management consultant, diversity and inclusion educator, organization development and training professional have led to her being one of the most sought after speakers and consultants in her field.
In 2005 DeEtta launched DeEtta Jones and Associates, a consulting firm that shapes strategies for leaders who aspire to build healthy organizations and maximize workforce performance. As Principal and Founder, she is responsible for setting strategic direction and designing customized and practical content for clients.
Previously, DeEtta served for 10 years at the Association of Research Libraries, as Director of Diversity and then Director of the Office of Leadership and Management Services. In these roles she was called upon as a thought-leader to set direction for the design and oversight of more than 12 international leadership programs, as well as a suite of professional development services including training and organization development. DeEtta has served as an adjunct faculty member, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on leadership and diversity, at Colorado State University and University of Maryland, College Park, and been a senior consultant with Diversity Best Practices, a preeminent diversity and inclusion think-tank and consultancy.
DeEtta has authored two books and is regularly called upon as a keynote speaker, author and guest expert for various media outlets. DeEtta has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education from Colorado State University, attended the Library and Information Sciences Program at the Catholic University of America, and has an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University. She lives outside of Chicago, IL, USA.
