Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
The topic of succession planning has always been of interest to me. As a regular delegate and speaker at public sector conferences across Ontario, it became clear to me as a younger professional that I was working in an aging sector. For example, I would often find myself at these conferences networking where I would be the youngest professional (by 15+ years on average) in the room! This often made me think about what the future of the sector looked like if all delegates in attendance were nearing retirement and no new young talent was being nurtured to fulfill similar roles into the future. This is why I have taken an interest in researching the topic and am passionate about providing organizations with simple, easy to implement and cost effective solutions for succession planning to meet real business needs.
