Why are you interested in the topic you are presenting?
I am interested in embedding academic librarians with student groups because I ran a student group on campus a year ago. I had to jump into my position right away and was unaware of a lot of resources my group could have access to. I truly felt I could benefit a lot from a librarian’s help.
What does “fearless” mean to you?
Fearless to me is the courage to imagine and propose solutions to challenges everyone thinks are hard.
What have you read/seen/listened to lately that you would recommend to your audience (something that would help them to learn more about your topic)?
The personal librarian program implemented at the University of Toronto just a few years ago, it’s a personal librarian program that allows each art and science student to match with an academic librarian. In our presentation, we would like a similar program that will extend reference services to newly established student groups on campus.
