CULC/CBUC’s eBook Task Force set out to develop a set of principles that would assist with guiding public library decision-making around licensing digital content. The high level principles are meant to be considered at point of contract, renewal and evaluation. The Principles are articulated around Privacy and Data Protection; Copyright; Documentation and Support; Remote Access; Communication: and, Accessibility. Join to hear why the Task Force felt the principles were necessary and why CULC/CBUC unanimously approved adoption in the Autumn of 2017.
