Description:

Idea Exchange has implemented a dynamic and fluid reciprocal programming model to encourage teen (12-18) engagement outside of traditional library practice. We are utilizing volunteering as a pathway to program engagement; teen-driven and -created website, blog, and social media content; Instagram as a connection tool; and cross-generational digital partnerships.

Outcomes:
Attendees will be able to implement a reciprocal teen programming philosophy as an alternative to traditional practice that will facilitate skill development, volunteerism, and increase teen engagement with public libraries.
