Description:

A STEM inquiry using iPads, apps and online resources for a combined French Immersion class (Grades 1 and 2). Topics included are how and why to document using Google Apps, the research process, and cross-curricular extension activities to deepen learning. Easy to adapt the inquiry for junior grades.

Outcomes:
Enables students to develop 21st century skills and competencies. Demonstrates that inquiry in a French Immersion primary and junior program is possible and attainable. Motivates student participation, supports multiple intelligences, and facilitates development of learning skills. Allows students to be creative, to learn how to think critically, and become good digital citizens. Supports teachers whether novices to inquiry or comfortable with inquiry-based learning and exploration.
