Description:

CEOs of small and rural public libraries live by the theme “All In”. They are expected to be marketers, programmers, collection developers, IT specialists, plumbers and the list goes on.

This panel discussion will address daily concerns and issues, the challenges of small town politics and where the library fits in; as well as how to get the word out about what we are doing. We will suggest strategies, share successes and engage in active discussions with our peers.

This session will empower and support people who work diligently to ensure their library is everything to everyone.

Outcomes:
– Discuss and share strategies with the panelists for dealing with struggles present in small libraries.

– Identify and employ various successful funding models for small libraries.

– Marketing and communication strategies will enable staff and CEOs of small libraries to get the word out about their successes and services.
