I graduated from the University of Toronto’s MISt program in 2010 and pursued a career in public librarianship. I spent 4 years at Toronto Public Library, where I shared my love of lifelong learning with people young and not-so-young. In 2013 I went back to school to explore my longtime interest in coding. I jumped at the opportunity to join a full-time Front-End Web Development Immersive at HackerYou, a code school in Toronto. Over one year and many lines of code later I started my second career in the tech industry. I believe that digital literacy is the new literacy.
