Tara Mendez has had the privilege of being a librarian for over twenty years and CEO for fourteen. Tara has worked as a library consultant and received recognition for her involvement in the community. Working with the Board of the Leeds and the Thousand Islands Public Library has allowed Tara great freedom in developing a library system that is responsive to community needs while moving forward in new directions. The development of a Recreation Library has met great success and created an exciting user centered environment. The Recreation Library has broken down barriers and changed the library user profile.
