James Murchison has been a Branch Head at three Toronto Public Library locations: Weston, Humberwood and Evelyn Gregory. In each location he has strived to improve circulation through merchandising and other initiatives. James has served on several community and Toronto Public Library committees including the Branch Merchandising team. James studied under a full scholarship awarded on academic merit at the University of Toronto, and received the William L. Graff Memorial Prize for the highest standing in the course Public Library Services to Culturally Diverse Communities.
