One library board’s journey to overcome leadership and organizational issues in the quest to become a ‘dream board’
A four part discussion – starting with the issues the ‘bad board’ faced; identifying characteristics of a ‘bad board’; the journey to becoming a ‘dream board’; and characteristics of a ‘dream board.’ Along the way we will discuss key issues such as governance, legislation, board/CEO roles, strategic plans, and more.
Andrew Porteus is a working librarian and has been on 2 different library boards, and has been chair on both. Terry Flynn is a town councillor and has been on the library board for many years, including time as the chair.
