Description:

Starting with a good question is easier said than done for many of our students. Questioning is just one of the skills that students need to know to put them on the right track to a successful inquiry.  We will start by sharing some helpful resources to develop questioning skills for both students & teachers, as well as engage in other specific lessons and strategies that target key concepts (i.e., developing a search strategy, taking notes, analyzing information, etc.) that students need to have in their repretoire.  Online tools and resources will also be shared that support Inquiry Learning.  Come ready to engage in hands-on activities that will help your students become successful inquirers.

Learning Outcomes

  • Participants will participant in hands-on activities that can be used to teach and model strategies necessary for students to be successful in each stage of the inquiry model.
