Description:

What is program evaluation? Why does it matter? Library boards, government and private funders are increasingly evaluating the return on investment and effectiveness of service delivery by asking for outcome measures for programs and services. Adopting an outcome-based approach to program design, delivery and evaluation ensures that Toronto Public Library’s programs and services are aligned with its strategic goals and are responsive to the needs of the communities and users it serves. This session will outline TPL’s Strategic Plan 2016-2019 and the approach it takes to measure program outcomes.
