Description:

Capital City Records: Edmonton Local Music is a digital library service that provides streams and downloads of local music and will celebrate our music history through engaging and interactive collections and features. Edmonton Public Library designed the site with the input of the musical community and with the goal of creating an open technical infrastructure that the community itself could innovate upon. The first Canadian public library service of its kind, Capital City Records is built on open source software and a publicly-available license agreement that can be adapted by other libraries to meet the unique needs of their communities
