Tammy Robinson has been the CEO of the Cobourg Public Library for 3 years. She has 17 years of library experience and prior to accepting the position in Cobourg, she worked at the Oshawa Public Library and the Toronto Reference Library. Tammy also developed and taught the Local History and Archives course at Durham College in the Library Technician’s Program. Prior to working in libraries, Tammy spent 10 years working as the Archivist for the Oshawa Historical Society.
Tammy is active in a variety of library and community organizations. She is an active Rotarian with the Cobourg Rotary Club, and is a member of the steering committee for the Northumberland Age Friendly Communities Project. For several years she was involved with the Ontario Library Association Super Conference as both a Volunteer Coordinator and as a member of the Planning Team. Tammy has also been a member of the Ontario Library Association’s Reader’s Advisory Committee and, in 2011 she was the President of the Ontario Public Library Association.
