Before becoming a librarian, Laura Kaminker was a published writer, editor, and activist for more than 20 years. Among her writing credits, she was the co-creator and associate editor of Kids On Wheels, the world’s first magazine for young wheelchair users. Laura is now a youth-services librarian at the Mississauga Central Library, and the president of CUPE Local 1989, Mississauga Library Workers Union.
