Community, Collaboration and Caring are Suritas main philosophy as a Community Engagement Coordinator. Her enthusiasm and imagination in partnering with the School Boards, grass root agencies, and the City of Brampton has helped them win the title of Youth Friendly Community for two consecutive years. Surita is involved with children of all ages in literacy events and activities; she inspires youth to become leaders of tomorrow; and offers support to parents. Her 25 years of service at Brampton Library has seen her in many roles in Childrens and Youth Services, IT and in supervising a Branch.
