Feather believes First Nation Communities Read is an important program respecting Aboriginal culture, and thoroughly enjoyed her experience as a juror this year. It was a wonderful opportunity to completely immerse myself in reading First Nations literature. The books were all very good some made me laugh out loud, and others left me in tears. All in all, I was able to develop a deeper understanding of the varied Aboriginal voices throughout Canada.
