Anne Marie Aikins is a former journalist and author. She is a member of the Strategic Communications Team at Metrolinx, the regional public transit agency for the GTHA, which is implementing the largest transit expansion effort in Canadian history. As official spokesperson, her position involves managing a team that provides the organization (including Metrolinx, GO Transit, UP Express, PRESTO and Toronto transit projects) with media relations, issue management, digital communications and crisis communications. Transit is a very high profile, often contentious subject in the GTHA and so she is often in the media. Anne Marie has also managed the media following a number of very difficult critical incidents.
