Ann Gordanier attended Carleton University and Western University, where she was a reporter for The Gazette, Westerns student newspaper. She completed an Honours B.A. in Political Science. She continued with additional university classes and freelancing, while employed with a large international company in London. Moving to Windsor she began a 10 year stint as a freelance reporter for TV Cogeco. She enrolled Distance Learning with Mohawk Colleges Library Technician Program. In 2009 she joined Shaw TV as a freelance television reporter focusing on arts and culture. In early 2010 she joined the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library team.
