Alan Miller first worked at the Ontario Ministry of Labour Library and then as a technician at the Ryerson University Library. Over nearly the past forty years, he has been a volunteer archivist with the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives (CLGA). With CLGA he published three early AIDS bibliographies in 1982, 1983 and 1985. With Primary Source Microfilms he worked on digitizing key Canadian and International lgbtq+ periodicals. The digitizing project followed an earlier directory of international periodicals of over 7,000 titles, Our Own Voices (1991), and included publishing information – as well as the complete CLGA lgbtq+ holdings.
