Learn how your Library Learning Commons can collaborate with Docs for Schools to bring some of the most relevant issues facing society today alive through a school-wide film festival. As the intellectual hub of the school, the Library Learning Commons is in a unique position to orchestrate this exciting and thought-provoking event. Docs for Schools offers a unique and creative way to differentiate content across the curriculum. Ideas are incited, passions are fueled, and world views are challenged, as the school community takes on a genuine film festival buzz. Attendees will learn about the Docs for Schools program, models for organizing a school film festival, lessons learned from experiences with different formats, and important tips for implementing a successful Docs for Schools festival.
