Description:

The Hanover Public Library serves a community of 7500. With no budget for events and programmes, we still manage to put on several high-profile events every year. Part of the secret to our success is creating a strong community network so that we can ask for sponsorships with a fair degree of confidence that local businesses will be forthcoming with funds. We will share our strategies and experiences during this session.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will:
1. Gain an understanding of the power of the public library’s reputation in the community to leverage fruitful partnerships with business;
2. Learn techniques and share ideas to lay the foundations for a strong sponsorship base through networking;
3. Learn methods of how to maintain a positive relationship with sponsors in the community.
