This lightning talk by Ontario Colleges Library Service (OCLS) and Ontario college library staff will showcase collaborative projects and technologies that are being developed to help post-secondary libraries meet and support student, staff, and faculty needs. The projects include evaluating eresources to comply with AODA through the Library eResources Accessibility Project (LEAP), selecting a repository solution to house and disseminate metadata for the provincial ebook consortium project, and upgrading virtual reference service and online support. Broad objectives of this session are to examine how the Ontario college libraries investigate the diverse needs and technical capacities of member libraries, explore appropriate technological solutions and ask more from out-of-the-box solutions, and ultimately collaborate to find effective solutions to common problems. Overall, aiming to demonstrate how Ontario college libraries are collaborating for cost-savings, knowledge and information sharing, and meeting user needs.
