Doors opened for Toronto Public Library’s 100th branch in May 2015. Designed by LGA Architectural Partners with Phillip H. Carter Architect, the branch features a spectacular KidsStop early literacy centre, a digital innovation hub, flexible fixtures and furniture, outdoor reading spaces and beautiful views integrated with green building elements creating a great library branch experience. Designed to provide responsive 21st century library service, the branch’s flexible spaces support collaboration and innovation, serving as an extension to this rapidly growing community’s living, working and social space.
Ellesmere Processing Centre
See Toronto Public Library’s new Processing Centre in action. This dynamic centre receives, catalogues and processes more than 440,000 new items each year. The delivery and shipping hub handles 45,000 items each day through a 120 bin sorting system. Visit the Centre. Walk through the entire process from receipt through delivery.
