Description:

Library 2.Now! is an innovative approach to staff training.  Designed to empower staff to embrace technology, we developed tasks with broad instructions that encourage them to truly discover a product using the tools available.  Staff are given self-directed, hands-on activities to increase their understanding of the many products and services offered to our users.  From troubleshooting eContent to understanding the complexities of the photocopier, staff develop skills that they can use whenever they encounter a new product or service at work or in their day-to-day life.  As a result, they have more confidence when providing customer service and have a better understanding of their role in promoting technology.   In this session we will outline what works, what doesn’t work and the fun we’ve had along the way.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will learn how to encourage a positive experience in the adoption of technology;
Participants will understand how to develop a self-directed training plan for their staff;
Participants will be able to improve customer service by increasing staff confidence with technology.
