Location: MTCC 104A

Days: Friday. Event Types: Session. Sectors: Careers/Mentoring. Subjects: Leadership and Professional Development.

Description:

The concept of “leadership” is a notion that is bandied about with great regularity in library circles, with a host of courses, certifications, and fellowships to help facilitate the path to leadership status. However, not all paths run parallel and not all opportunities are created equal. This session will have a number of librarians at various points in their career who will discuss their career paths, how they got there, and what – if anything – they might do differently if they were to do it all over again.

Learning Outcomes
1. Creation of leadership goals
2. Career development
3. Greater understanding of opportunities available to professionals at various stages of their careers
