Dodem Kanonhsa’ and the R.E.A.L. School program have partnered to deliver the “Indigenous Worldview – Education Session.” This workshop will focus on introducing participants, through the use of interactive activities the beliefs, values and attitudes that underpin Aboriginal Cultural Practice. Participants are introduced to various types of energy-based relationships and are given insight into the practices of many ancient cultures.  Dodem Kanonhsa’ mandate is to provide a space for learning and fostering greater acceptance, understanding and harmony between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people. The R.E.A.L. School program model helps participants to shift and to expand their consciousness of themselves, others and the diverse world around them. To assist people in connecting to their inner spirit, R.E.A.L. School is designed as an evolutionary program.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will gain:
1. A greater understanding of the values, attitudes and beliefs that underpin Aboriginal Cultural Practice and the uniqueness of an Indigenous Worldview
2. A great understanding of the historical and contemporary impacts on Aboriginal Communities and Cultural Practices
3. Protocol and Process for working with Elders/Traditional Knowledge Keepers (Participants will be taught how to prepare a tobacco bundle)
4. A greater understanding of the 4 Sacred Medicines (Participants will be taken through the smudging ceremony)
5. Knowledge on available resources
