Looking to take the next step with inquiry? Interested in a method that will increase student creativity and engagement? In this workshop we will introduce you to the concept of Genius Hour, where students spend an hour a week involved in an inquiry project with full freedom and flexibility. You will walk away with a variety of ways to get started on this project, curriculum connections, and assessment methods. We will also discuss final project ideas and provide handouts for each stage of the inquiry process.
Learning Outcomes
1) Participants will learn about the basics of Genius Hour.
2) Participants will learn how to work with teachers in your school to plan and implement Genius Hour.
3) Participants will have the opportunity to discuss a variety of assessment methods.
