After redefining literacy to include the transfer of learning across mediums, platforms and contexts, I’m trying to change the culture in the learning commons to include all stakeholders. Come and share in my successes and failures in trying to cultivate a participatory culture in the library learning commons. This workshop will include points for advocating change in your learning commons and strategies for getting started in the shifting the paradigm including designing learning environments, cultivating instructional design, and empowering a community of learners that includes staff and students.
