Description:

The Board, and specifically the Chair, forms a constructive partnership with the CEO. This requires open and transparent communication and clear indicators for success. As an employer, the Board is obliged to have policies in place for the review and evaluation of the CEO based on data, not gossip and innuendo. How do you develop a policy and plan? How do you ensure accountability? How do you measure Board liaison, effective operations and community relations? When should you do this? Who holds the critical courageous conversations to provide feedback designed to support and improve without waffling and subterfuge? Learn the basics of ensuring that you are monitoring your partnership and improving performance.
