In this session we will be looking at ways to use the Blue Spruce and Silver Birch Express 2016 lists in the classroom and library. A variety of literacy, collaborative, critical thinking and inquiry strategies will be included – though the final determination of the exact balance of the above cannot be determined until the lists are decided. With any luck we will fit some numeracy strategies in there as well. My journey will be in direct collaboration with classroom teachers this year and how to carry the books (and the thinking!) from one to the other and back again.
